About Us
The Catholic Fraternity Fund is an Autonomous Pious Foundation formed under Canons 1303, §1,1 and 114, §2 and is a nonprofit corporation domiciled in Texas. The canonical administrators of The Fund consist of a professional, non-compensated lay Board of Directors and Board of Trustees who are responsible for its affairs and for its adherence to the provisions of the Code of Canon Law. The Catholic Fraternity Fund is a public charity under IRC 501(c)(3).
The Catholic Fraternity Fund was founded on the business model that professional, technical, and competent stewardship can best be achieved through dedicated investment funds, assembled for the sole benefit of its members, and with a distinct Catholic identity and commitment. As an Autonomous Pious Foundation the Catholic Fraternity Fund is governed by the Code of Canon Law in all of its activities, in particular the canons of Book V of the Code which concerns the Church’s temporal goods.
The Fund is designed to provide a critical mass of investment size so as to make a real difference in increasing the fund’s financial opportunities, mitigation of investment risk, increasing diversification options, lowering of money manager costs and maximizing the appreciation potential/returns paid to its members.
The Catholic Fraternity Fund is a wholly owned nonprofit subsidiary of the Catholic Community Foundation for the Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
